Mission Club

Creative direction, motion & graphic design for a global community network and angel investment group working together to revolutionize mental health and community through incentivizing and amplifying research & education.

Early Ideation

Early sketches of the Mission Club branding and imagery.

We did not end up using these designs, as they were determined to be too isolating and specific to space exploration.

This gave us great ideas about the key elements of the visual direction and what our path forward should look like.

Namely, we discussed elements that could represent some kind of a planetary focus.

Imagery
in Progress

After reviewing the approach of the original pieces, I decided to take a 180 degree turn on our approach and proposed abstract graphics as opposed to human-based visuals.

The font system remained, and these new visual elements gave us the green light we were looking for to help Mission Club come to life.

Final Designs

This final design elements were approached with a global community in mind.

Features for print and web, as well as looping animations were developed to envelope the whole, breaking each piece to exist elsewhere as independent animations on the main site.

Animation

A slow “breathing” animation was developed for web and social with customizable components to help reinforce the concept of community - all parts making/orbiting a whole.
